What FLIM stands for?
FLIM (Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy) is an imaging technique based on the differences in the exponential decay rate of the photon emission of a fluorophore from a sample, extremely useful to map protein-protein interactions and biochemical reactions in living cells. One can gain a wealth of information about dynamic live 3D systems – small organisms and interspecies communities, multicellular aggregates, organoids and assembloids, biofabricated microtissues and indeed live tissues.
